Virginia City...

On the 3rd day in Reno, we took a trip to the foot hills, where we went to Virginia City. On the way there, we saw wild horses. We couldn't believe that there are horses just roaming the countryside! Virginia City is a little old Western town, that hasn't lost it's charm. It is filled with wood plank board walks, old buildings, and people dressed in western garb! We had a fun time shopping and dining. We went to a bar called "The Bucket of Blood." This was my favorite stop. They had a live band, and lots of cowboys dancing. My Dad would have got a kick out of this place. It combined some of his favorite things - gambling- beer - and - cowboys (wearing real guns and garb)! It was really neat. We even got some t-shirts there. Later on that night, we went to downtown Reno. There we walked some of the casinos, saw the ice-skating rink and river, and stood in front of the famous sign. It was almost like Vegas, but colder! We had a wonderful trip, but we are so happy to be back home. We are so thankful to Eric and Iraida for hosting us and showing us around, and that our family could care for Nick so we could enjoy some couple time. Thanks so much everyone!

Good job making some time together - with that little kiddo you are going to need grown up time together on a regular schedule!

Yes, you can borrow my books - I ended up purchasing the entire series. I just loaned the first book to a girl at the office. As soon as she gets it back to me, I will get it to you!! It was a surprisingly good series - romantic but not too syrupy.
